Beginning a to create a garden at 1400' in an area bleak but named already as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty was a pretty daunting challenge.I have made mistakes but equally have learnt from them to create my haven. I grow flowers for my home, salads, potatoes, some veg, herbs, strawberries raspberries, blackcurrants , blueberries, and rhubarb. My bulb beds and herbaceous borders and trees add to my joy.
The raised beds hold my cut flower bed, herb bed, trial bed , strawberries and garlic beds
Jersey Royals and Rhubarb bed garlic adds to the ambience
Love these leaves
The Ladies and the Meadow over the wall
Nigel's birthday tree
New East facing herbaceous bed double dug filled with old manure then over- wintered before planting.
Large stone built bulb bed filled with cream to plum and blue and white camassias
So excited my new greenhouse
Loving the trees
Sunshine and showers
Black grouse hiding here
This garden will evolve now
