Fear is often an illusion Distorting what is true It's ignorance with confusion And no tangible proof

(My son hates this dark hallway.)

Fear is a bully But boldness makes it weak It's greatest weapon is silence So one must stand and speak

(I made him walk all the way to the end of the hallway and back, as I watched and guided him, as God does for us.)

You can choose to shiver In a corner in defeat Or you can choose to conquer With your fears under your feet
