Making a fox zoetrope

Making a fox zoetrope

We thought it would be fun to mark the end of a crazy year by animating a fox walking in a snowy wood - using a zoetrope. A zoetrope is a circular contraption that when spun, gives the illusion that the pictures on it appear to move - it's kind of like an animation machine.

Each fox was made from 10 components

there were 24 foxes

All 75 trees were unique due to the swaying animation

Each fox, tree and snow mound were cut, glued and placed by hand

With all the pieces in place it was time to finalise the camera move
