A glimpse of

🇮🇹 Roma - city of angels, dolce vita, city of light, city of god. The Italian capital deserves all of her glorious names. It vibrates full of life and diversity. This was my second visit to Rome and I had one day to enjoy the city, without the stress of having to cross off things from my list. Here's my second glimpse of #Rome!

This embodies Rome to me. When churches & bikes meet ☺️

But a horse carriage with a blue umbrella is also fine 😉 (In front of Santa Maria di Loreto)

The "Altare Della Patria": A gigantomaniac building... Romans actually hate it!

October days can be moody, but what started with rain turned out to become sunny later.

So we started the day with a special hot chocolate @ Grezzo

Raw cocoa, almond milk & dates... 😍

We strolled through the streets from the train station...

... passed by some Fiats...

... met busy strangers ...

... and discovered the first rays of sun!

Until we found the Trevi Fountain!

You can buy roasted chestnuts right next to the fountain.

From there we walked further towards...

...our next station...

Campo dei Fiori!

The market at Campo dei Fiori is a must visit...

Not only for the market, but also for some #outtodry moments!

From there we walked towards Piazza Navona.

Piazza Navona is an oasis, a perfect place to just hang out and watch people...

And fountains 😉

And pigeons on fountains!

The Jewish quarter

Here's where you should sit down for lunch (or dinner) and eat all things "Artichoke". We had: * Fried Artichokes * Artichoke Lasagne * Artichoke Carpaccio (thinly sliced and marinated as salad)

Fried Artichoke

Best eaten at: "Nonna Betta"

After the lunch we hit the streets again...

... and found more Cinquecenti! 😍

The streets were still wet from the rain, but the sun lit the city up!

And so we walked around the Trastevere neighborhood...

To discover a hidden secret: The Bisottificio Artigiano Innocenti

I ate this right away and then returned to the bakery to buy another one 😍😂

When the clouds returned late in the afternoon it was time for us to leave Rome again... next time we'll come in summer!

hahah what was that guy doing carrying that lamp around 🤔 and those cars 💕💕

  • ladyvenom

@nellypng my guesses are: a) bringing it to the repairs shop or b) selling it at a vintage shop 😂 and the cars are just 😍

  • coppernotes

For all the beautiful light moments and architecture moments (and insane fountain moments 😂) that photo on page 7 - the patina! 💥 - and the guy just carrying the lamp around 👌🏻 - nice! Love the contrasts you pick up in any city or place.

@copperline thank you dear! It's pretty insane to only have one day in this city... but we did enjoy just wandering around with no real plan or target ☺ just like we should travel more often, without too many ideas and concepts in our head ☺

@Travel_Times welcome to Steller!! Hope you enjoy it here as much as we do - it's a special place ☺🙏🏼

  • coppernotes

Yeah, I can imagine if you're turning up some place and you know you have specific things to see, amazing though it is to be there, it's not always going to be the most relaxing! So just wandering and absorbing - that will be the best! Though you still managed to cram a lot into one day! 😄
