Climate Change Conference

Marrakech, Morocco

At the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Marrakech, Morocco (COP22), the world moved forward on commitments to limit our planet's warming. What went on aside from the environmental negotiations? Here are some highlights from the events and the city of Marrakech.

Café Clock was on the Green Passport Map for COP22. In addition to minimizing food waste, they use renewable energy.

Trees in urban settings help cool cities and improve air quality. Our Green Passport Map highlighted the green spaces in Marrakech.

Faces of Change - Our exhibit featuring stories of people taking action to combat climate change.

Oumaima Mhijir, Director of the Amal Women's Training Center: "Amal is a safe haven where women from difficult backgrounds come to find hope." The center saves food by creating delicious dishes of any food that would go to waste.
