Northern California Part Two A Trip To The Redwoods

A trip to the redwoods is a must if you are staying in Mendocino. It can easily be done in a day and there are some delightful sights and beaches on the way. MacKerricher State Park is just north of Ft. Bragg. It has a beach with crashing waves and a nature path.

Humboldt State Forest is home to some of the largest trees in America. The giant redwoods can be visited in different groves and there are places to camp, if you'd like to extend your trip.

The drive near the Humboldt State Forest takes you through the fabulous redwoods.

Once you venture into the park, there are different trails that go among these towering giants.
