A Heady Scent
The making of a dream flower
A tiny prickly cactus bloomed for just one day...
The flower, three times the size of the cactus, wafted it's heady scent into the hot summer air It stirred me It captivated me It whispered in my ear "Don't let me fade into a forgotten memory"
I sat for a while enjoying its fragrance as I drank my chamomile tea Then started collecting the tools and materials to start the dream
Chamomile tea bag paper Quill and ink Watercolour paints And needle and thread
Raw silk and gold
Slow hand stitching - a meditation
I wish you could smell the heady scent of this cactus flower
