Venice, October 2016

Knowing that there was an exhibition showing some of Frank Gehry's models, I set off in the direction of Piazza San Marco. There is always something that catches one's eye in Venice. En route, I happened upon an exhibition by Telecom Italia entitled Future Centre.
I learnt more about networks made up of broadband pipes - mostly invisible to us as they are deep underground.
Espace Louis Vuitton Venice is currently home to the exhibition showcasing the Fondation Louis Vuitton Paris designed by Frank Gehry.
The models, grouped to evoke schools of fish, seem to float in a liquid atmosphere.
As part of the exhibition Daniel Buren created an installation entitled "Shattered by reflections: the colours"
Next stop was an exhibition of wearable technology - part of the Venice Design week. I saw "emotional jewelry" which checks vitals, measures steps etc
There was also sense wear, some items muting senses, others stimulating them. Aimed at enhancing everyone's life, the outfits were inspired by therapies applied to Sensory Processing Disorder.
Later I found a little store selling eco friendly iPhone covers. One was made with recycled wood! As my artworks for FUTURE LANDSCAPES are printed on recycled wood the cover was soon purchased!
The opening of FUTURE LANDSCAPES took place in Palazzo Ca' Zanardi, "a residential palace dating back to the 16th century which, over the centuries, has been added on to by various noble venetian families and is one of the most evocative and beautiful palaces in the city of Venice" What an honor to have my "Corridors of Cyberspace" hanging in one of its rooms!
With Hector Rafael, an amazing artist from Puerto Rico!
