The Apartment...

( scroll down to read ) Back in March this year I was lucky enough to stay at one of the Landmark Trust Properties in the Lake District called #Howthwaite which was absolutely wonderful . So when we decided that we wanted to visit Florence this Summer we also booked Casa Gudi, the former home of Robert and Elizabeth Browning in Florence and one of the 6 Landmark Trust propertys in Italy... it was the most amazing apartment and sanctuary for 3 days and I loved the sheer amount of space above our heads, the furnishings, the floors, the balcony the light and the whole atmosphere...

This is the original painting was was used to re create the Browning's drawing room...

The Boboli Gardens which have a fantastic view over Florence are just a cross the street through the Piazza Pitti

What an absolutely amazing place! LOVE that hidden painted door and the light is just beautiful. Landmark Trust places always look so fabulous, I'm dying to stay in one!

One of my favourite Steller stories, period. This is stunning. The exterior is like something from a movie, and the interior... Page 9 looks like a painting, and page 5 is just exquisite. Stunning!
