Anantara

Last week I went on a adventure to one of my favourite countries in the world, THAILAND, with @laurenepbath. We started our time in Chiang Rai at the beautiful Anantara Golden Triangle. www.goldentriangle.anantara.com This was my first visit to Northern Thailand and I'm sure it won't be my last 😊

Room with a view

The first morning we didn't even leave our rooms, I mean why would you? We set up our camera equipment on the balcony and watched the sunrise over the borders of the golden triangle Thailand, Myanmar and Laos.

After a sleepy start to the day we headed down to breakfast πŸ˜‹ I'm not sure if I've mentioned before how much I loooooooove breakfast in Thailand. Any trip to Thailand should start with a good breakfast of Thai omelette with fish sauce and chilli, Thai sausages, noodles, crispy bacon and what ever else you can fit on the table πŸ™Š ooooooooh and dragonfruit juice.

After a good breakfast we headed to Anantara's famous elephant camp. The Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation was started to help take elephants and their mahouts of the streets and give them a better life, I could go on for days about how the foundation works but it's better if you just check it out yourself at www.helpingelephants.org.

Walking with the Giants is one of the guest activities that you can participate in. Walking through the jungle with these majestic animals is truly something I will never forget.

She's just so smiley πŸ˜€

After our walk with the Giants we decided to test out the pool and hot tub πŸ™Š

After the exhausting day of eating, swimming and walking with the giants I thought I needed a nice relaxing massage at Anantara Spa ☺️

Day 2 started with a visit to the local markets in Chiang Saen with the chef from Anantara to pick up some ingredients for our Spice Spoon cooking class. Being chefs Lauren and I were very competitive when it came to the cooking, I won of course because I'm waaaaaaaay better than her😝

My first attempt at Thai Cooking, it was delicious of course πŸ˜‹

Anantara Golden Triangle is located in the hills of Thailand overlooking the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos and the meeting of the Ruak and Mekong rivers. If you're planning a trip to Thailand you should really check out this property. www.anantara.com A huge thanks to the team at Anantara Hotels

Oh and don't forget to try some elephant poo coffee while you're in town. www.blackivorycoffee.com

My unforgettable moment ☺️
