Dolny Morava, Czech Republic February 2016

Have you ever walked in the clouds? Sky Walk is a unique project that opened last December in Dolny Morava, Czech Republic. It is a conceptual structure and offers a sense of walking above the landscape. This weekend we set out to experience how it feels to walk in the clouds.

It is located NE of Czech Republic ( near the border of Poland) and can be easily reached by car within 3hrs of driving. This area also offers nice hiking or skiing opportunities. I only wish we had been more lucky with the weather - rain and fog it was.

What should have been an amazing view to valley of Morava river and Krkonose Mountains.

The construction is located near cottage Slamenka, which can be reached via chair lift Sneznik. We had the pleasure to experience the walk almost all by ourselves- understandable given the weather conditions.

Some fun facts: The construction required 300t of steel- 300m2 glued larch- 250m2 planed blocks of wood- The complete length of the trail from the entrance building 710m-

The walk is very easy- or it would have been in a nice and sunny day. For us it was a constant struggle of heavy rain, wind blowing in our faces and our hands freezing while still trying to do our best capturing some of these photos.

While the walk was an amazing experience, we were happy to spend some time in Slamenka cottage - drying our clothes, warming up our frozen fingers and...

Having some hot tea...and...

Oh- updating Instagram...

All good things come to an end, however our journey home can be described with only two words- Nature Brilliance!
