Scotland Road Trip

Part One

Earlier this month, sent Brad Hobbs, Johnny Foy and I on an epic trip around Scotland as part of their #omgb campaign. Needless to say, we had a blast. This story is from day 1, Glencoe and Glen Etive, the most awe inspiring part of Scotland I've yet seen. The weather was terrible, which kinda made it.

We began the trip with an overnight stop and a dram in the legendary

The road to

Achnambeith cottage sits at the foot of Aonach Dubh, with Loch Achtriochtan to its right. A river crashes through the foot of its drive. How many houses do you know with their own bridge?!

The road heads north. We were headed south at this point.

Big landscapes, huge skies.

Tiny farmhouse at the foot of Bauchaille Etive MΓ²r.

The Glen Etive road.

Boomerang by @brad_hobbs

The mighty Buachaille Etive MΓ²r.

This road was made famous in Skyfall.

The famous Glen Etive bike shed.

Loch Etive

Stunning roads and landscapes wherever you look. Lochan Urr is off to the right.

The hill in the rear left was crucial for the next shot. We had to pay homage to Skyfall.

Heilan Coo.

Thanks for flipping through. We'll go from Loch Oich to Inverness and then down through the Cairngorms in part two, taking in Loch Ness along the way. #scotland #stelleruk #stellerstories #omgb #lovegreatbritain

  • ghostedout

@copperline haha! Thanks Fiona, you're very kind. Yeah the rain and drama in the skies made for big pictures. The deer was a friendly fella, took loads of pics of him if you like the picture that much I'll happily send it to you.

  • ghostedout

@lifeintones cheers matey, part two coming up next chance I get!

  • ghostedout

    @Aamir_Steller thank you Aamir πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

  • coppernotes

Oh that's too much. I'd implode with excitement. And then I'd feel guilty cause you're a super-talented photographer who can't just be giving stuff away! There's just something about the handsomeness (I know, not a real word πŸ™ˆ) of a stag. And, without being clichΓ©d about it, it's quintessentially Scottish. And sometimes you see a photo like this that while familiar in subject feels different - in tone, particularly, or composition. So yeah, that photo has that *something*.

  • relaxocat

Looks like a beautiful trip and the jumping bit was priceless!

  • ghostedout

@copperline ah thanks Fiona, those stags are totally Scottish and no worries, of course you can have a pic!

  • ghostedout

@relaxocat thanks, we had such a good time
