Head to the hills

A Sunday in Victoria

About an hour outside of Melbourne, the Tarrawarra Museum of Art is built right into the hills of the Yarra Valley. The design is stunning, allowing the landscape to become art as appreciated as any on the walls.

From the museum, we drove about 20 minutes to the Healsville Sanctuary. We set out a picnic, then wandered through art of another kind: the varied species of Australia.

Our last stop was just six minutes away: the Badger Swimming Hole. It's a winding creek nestled in what feels like a rainforest, ideal for splashing with the little ones.
