IN THE ALPS
Madonna di Campiglio
We just returned from a 5-day holiday in Trentino (Italy).
We stayed in Madonna di Campiglio, nestled at an altitude of 1550 metres, in the stupendous valley between the Brenta Dolomites and the glaciers of Adamello and Presanella.
Madonna di Campiglio is one of Italy’s top ski resort and one of the most important resorts in the Alps.
Cinque Laghi, Pradalago, Grostè and Spinale are different skiing areas you can easily access from Madonna di Campiglio. They are served by super-fast and modern ski lifts, all connected with each other.
We started the day on the blue slopes at Pradalago

Pradalago is connected to Cinque Laghi and Grostè by gondola
There is a stunning view at the top at Cinque Laghi

It's the start of the season and it hasn't snowed a lot in Madonna di Campiglio yet, but 40 km of slopes are open with 50 cm of artificial snow.
At 2500m in Grostè
A large plate of spätzle with bacon, butter and sage for lunch, after an intense morning of skiing
Followed by a Bombardino: eggnogg, brandy, whipped cream
One last look at the mountains before going down to the valley
Back in Madonna di Campiglio, we rewarded ourselves with hot chocolate and cake at Bar Suisse!
Shops, restaurants, bars and clubs in Madonna di Campiglio ensure that you will have fun off the slopes too!
