Staying warm with spiced wine while wandering the streets

"Bethmännchen" Recipe Makes about 30-35:: 200g good marzipan 50g icing sugar 100g ground almonds 100g skinned almonds 1-2 tbsp rosewater 1 egg yolk (vegan option: almond milk) for brushing

Instructions:: 1. Combine all ingredients except for whole almonds and egg yolk (almond milk) 2. Shape into 30-35 walnut sized balls and put on a lined baking tray. 3. Preheat the oven to 180C 4. Press three almonds into each ball (with the tip pointing upwards) 5. Brush with beaten egg yolk and bake for about 10-12 min. until light brown.
