Day one ~ Taking a helicopter to Kaikoura from Christchurch not only provided spectacular views, and scary winds that at one stage had me thinking 'omg we're going down' lol... it also gave me my favourite photo of the trip! (See next page)
As soon as we landed we headed straight to 'Whale Watch Kaikoura' to see if we could spy a sperm whale or two. And we did! It was my first time ever to see one of these majestic creatures! Mind blowing!
...& the day ends with a beautiful sunset @kaikouranz
Day two ~ And one of the best days of my life! We were dropped in the middle of the freezing New Zealand ocean off the coast of Kaikoura, to entertain some very playful dusky dolphins! I was absolutely beside myself! The crew on the 'Dolphin Encounter Kaikoura' boat were so amazing too! We seriously could not have asked for a more magical morning!
"magnificent, marvels of the ocean"
The Kaikoura Instameet
After the high of swimming with dolphins, we then attended one of the best instameets I've ever been to! I met so many beautiful people, and I also met some baby seals too!
Jarrad Seng... beautiful soul.
Day three ~ Started with a magical sunrise down along the waters edge of beautiful Kaikoura. We then did a really lovely and interesting tour with 'Maori Tours Kaikoura' where we learnt about the history and culture, and captured some spectacular views.
In memory of my beautiful friend Chris, who passed away this day.
We made our way to Little River, and settled in to our magical accommodation for the night. A 'Pure Pods' glass cabin in the mountains, a secret location with only a map to guide us. Imagine being tucked up in the most comfortable bed you've ever known, looking up at the infinite starry sky! It was incredible!
Day four ~ A morning spent at Birdling's Flat, one of the most beautiful, wild and untamed coastlines I've seen. I could have stayed all day....
Lauren Bath...success extraordinairé
We then headed for the magical harbour town of Akaroa, and discovered a magical place for sunset....
"There are far, far better things ahead, then what we leave behind."
I don't want to know what you do for a living, I want to know what you live to do
"I want to feel my life while I'm in it."

Day five ~ Our last day, and a gentle morning discovering the beautiful village of Akaroa. I can see myself living in Akaroa, painting, knitting, baking, gardening and of course, taking pretty pictures.
Love and Stuff
We then visited a beautiful place with our guide Kevin of 'Pohatu Penguins' where they are repopulating the Little Blue Penguins! This place was heaven! You'll see why...
That's Kevin looking for penguins...
And penguins weren't the only beautiful creatures there...
Finally because I can never decide on favourites, here's a few more random shots too!!
I don't ever want to get my head out of the clouds...
@YoungAdventures ~ I love this girl
Falling in love with snow capped mountains....
