A Purposeful Passion
My trip to Zermatt with Viewfinder Center, Winterthur, for a Landscape Workshop was about to begin and I was on top of the moon! The mountains are my favorite place to be. It was a weekend to improve my photography skills in one of the earth's most amazing places, with the Matterhorn as the backdrop.
This was my first time to the Matterhorn and it was breathtaking!
We hiked to the Riffelsee to scout a good location for our sunset photoshoot.
At 4:30 the next morning we set out to catch the sunrise.
Once we set up in the fresh mountain air, we patiently waited for the golden glow.
As the morning light came upon us, the sky turned into a rainbow of colours.
My patience was rewarded by observing this majestic mountain awaken in the morning glow. It literally took my breath away.
We definately had to celebrate our morning's glory.
Our room with a view.
I also wanted to photograph Switzerland's highest mountain.
Monte Rosa and the Dufouspitze at 4634 m.u.M.
A farewell dinner full of gratitude.
Thank you Viewfinder Center, Matt Anderson and Steve Wright for an incredible weekend of Matterhorn mountain madness!
