Picture
Caption: It doesn't matter what they
tell you when you're a little kid. Life is anything but orderly
or predictable or controllable.
Life is just plain messy
and almost never on time.
Even so, Life gives us
EVERYTHING we need
- all the time.
Picture
Caption: The tricky part
is keeping on
finding our way
through
EVERYTHING.
Picture
Caption: Take, for example,
what's happened
to my studio since
I fell in love
with my iPhone.
Picture
Caption: When my studio migrated into
my pocket, my physical studio
turned into a storage shed.
Picture
Caption: For four years, I forgot everything else but my glass-faced companion.

Caption: Thoughts arose that it would be fun to find a way back to printing – only this time with mobile images.
But I also believed I had to find
my way through EVERYTHING
in my mobile art life and EVERYTHING in my physical art life - at the same time.
And that was overwhelming.
I might have to give up
something but I wanted EVERYTHING all at the same time.
We can only hold
so much at once...
Picture
Caption: It sounds so nutty
as I write this.
Especially after I got out
my iPhone to help me
see the studio better...
Obviously the studio is fine.
Messy. And fine.
Picture
Caption: I've just been drowning in thoughts that proved what I was believing. No biggy. We all do it.
Picture
Caption: In the name of "protecting" my creativity, I dropped a lot.
I didn't already know how
to assemble more of EVERYTHING,
so I let pieces of myself -
as an artist and a woman -
drop out of sight. (sic)
Picture
Picture
Picture
Caption: Trying to hang on
to EVERYTHING
- the way it used to be -
shuts down the possibility
of enjoying
EVERYTHING
as it is now.
Duh.
Picture
Caption: The waters of
confusion recede.
Picture
Picture
Caption: All doors have at least 2 entrances and 2 exits. And maybe more...
Picture
Caption: What else might this be?
