August 14-16 a group of ragtag photographers descended on Glacier National Park for an instameet held by Steller, and hosted by Brooke Willson and myself. Friday night brought heavy rains, and an electrifying storm that forced us all to spend the evening huddled in our tents.
Saturday we met at the top of Logan Pass to begin our hike on Highline trail despite freezing rains and gale force winds.
Most of the group turned back, but the stubborn ones (myself included) pushed through the weather.
After returning from the hike we joined the rest of the group for a hammock hang of epic proportions (and to thaw back out)! Many thanks to Kammok for sponsoring the hammocks!
Sunset at Lake McDonald
Saturday night we left the comfort of the kammoks for a sunset shoot on the iconic (and smokey) Lake McDonald.. And of course a few group photos!
After sunset we were all sitting around enjoying good stories and a good fire when my friend Jackson (far left) stopped by to tip us off of a solar storm brewing!
On Sunday a few of us opted to hike Avalanche Lake before parting ways.
@elliotwoods was able to toss a line in Avalanche Creek
A huge thank you to @steller for allowing me to host this meetup. I'll be hosting another one very soon, so stay tuned! Thanks to my co-host @brookewillson as well as @JWFphotography for all of his help. And thank you to @kammok and @goalzero for their sponsorship! #BOMGlacier #glaciermt #glaciernps
