Recently my son & I took the trip of our lives up north to celebrate a birthday & Father's Day.
After flying into Spokane, Washington, we drove the new rental car across the border to Idaho & picked up our friend. We spent a day planning & jumping off some cliffs at the lake in Coeur d'Alene, then we headed Northeast.
To maximize our adventures, we decided on a short stay in Montana. The Many Glacier area in East Glacier had a lot of what we were looking for so we decided to set up camp there.
For our one full day in Glacier NP, we decided to do the Grinnell Lake hike. It was a good choice.
Happy 13th, little dude.
Along the trail we came to a cascading stream with sections that still showed the depths of snow during winter. I jumped down & looked around inside.
We then enjoyed dehydrated lunch with a view.
After lunch we hiked above Grinnell Lake.
We reached the end of our hike & looked back down to the 3 lakes we'd passed: Grinnell, Josephine & Swiftcurrent. Each one showing its own shade of blue.
The next morning we woke early, packed up camp & caught sunrise at Swiftcurrent Lake before leaving Glacier.
Thanks for reading. More stories to come from north of the border. 🇨🇦 Thanks to Toban Knight for pages 6 & 20. #StellerAdventure #StellerStories #GoExplore #GreetTheOutdoors #Montana #GlacierNationalPark
