ROAD TRIP ICELAND
A pristine journey
Skaftafellsjökull glacier, unpronounceable but beautiful. As usual in Iceland!
Heimaey Small island south of Iceland, in the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago.
In the 9th century, a few irish slaves hid there after killing their master. Irish people were nicknamed "West Men" (Vestmann) : before the discovery of Iceland, Ireland was the most western land of the known world.
The Eldfell volcano appeared in January 1973, very close from the town, Heimaey.
Road is always full of unexpected gifts. Especially in Iceland.
Walk along the fjord for hours. No words — just feel and look. Then there was the house… Mjóifjörður
Experiencing the power of nature. Dettifoss, north east of Iceland
On the ground, an infinite variation of blue, bright white and deep ocher. Walk into Námafjall.
Sulfur springs, fumaroles, slimy mud pools. Rainbow colors on the floor, sulfur odor, hissing steam.
Stykkishólmur, Breiðafjörður fjord
