Memories of Bangalore

One day

I was lucky enough to visit the beautiful country of India and the vibrant city of Bangalore. #stellerstories #travel

For many years I'd always wanted to visit India. A country that had fascinated me since I was a child. I wanted to experience its unique history, culture, art, music and of course the wonderful food. One day I had the chance to make all those dreams a reality.

To enable dreams to come true I developed an ambitious international link between two very different schools. One from rural UK, the other from urban India.

We researched, shared and collaborated on projects that helped to bring children from around the world one step closer together. We acknowledged the fact that despite differences in faith and culture, we are all pretty much the same. We want the same things. We dream the same dreams.

Life changing

With hard work, determination and a clear vision our projects have enabled the opportunity to change lives and indeed break down barriers that perhaps once seemed to exist.

With the use of art, music and addressing world issues, both schools have embraced opportunity and shared visions on how children would like to help shape their future and of course help right the wrongs that exist in society today. Helping to make the world a better place for us all.

For me this was an opportunity of a lifetime and one that will live with me for a very long time to come. Since starting this I have enabled English teachers to visit India and Indian teachers to visit the UK. The only thing I would like to perhaps take the kids. Maybe one day they will and their desire to travel will enable them to visit a place they learned about in school through pictures, Internet...
