ALASKANS
portraits from the last frontier
Alaskans are a unique bunch. We spend a lot of time outside, aren't particularly fashionable, and have an excessive love for where we live.
What follows are portraits from around this big, diverse state...from the Inupiat Eskimo whaling community of Point Hope, to the southern "banana belt" city of Anchorage to the Aleutian Island community of Dutch Harbor. ...from the National Park community of McCarthy to salmon rich waters of the Kenai to the caribou people of the Brooks Range in Arctic Village. ------>

Amazing work. We lived in Alaska for quite a few years. We lived up in Fairbanks, actually. My dad has a few bear hides from the Bears he killed while living up there.
