Easter in Lorne
Goose and I come to Lorne at any opportunity. Any excuse to leave Melbourne is worth fathoming the streets of the city. I happen to love Melbourne very much.
I'm born and raised in Hawthorn in Melbourne's east where I spent my education. Auburn South Primary, Camberwell High, and Swinburne University. Most of my adulthood has been spent in Williamstown and Footscray where I work and live, and party. The west is so beautiful, and so much more interesting than Melbourne's east, which I typically compare to a Barbie and Ken set since just about everything is made out of money and plastic.
Okay, I exaggerate that last point, and granted I have not travelled south of the river for many years but the West Gate and all its many wonderful establishments are the gates to the many wonders of western Victoria's Great Ocean Road.
Goose spends the start of each week with the excellent Chalsie Mew, a mate of mine I went to university with that I have known for as many years now. They catch up to talk about how the week has gone and what they achieved with Fyn and The Workshop Co, and they talk about what their plans are for the week ahead and the future. It's a really wonderful way to put everything in perspective, especially in those times where you're all, "what the fuck am I even doing here?"
I myself spend many days wondering what it is I hope to achieve but I never feel far off the mark. Occasionally I tag along to discuss Lion + Goose and all its successes, and there are a lot of successes to always talk about which I am always extremely grateful for. From Squarespace to Instagram, I'm a part of an incredible community.
Happy Easter ya'll. Love always, Lion + Goose.
