lemon cake

with white chocolate and marzipan

175 g (3/4 cups) sugar 6 eggs 175 (1+1/4 cups) flour 75 g (5,5 tbsp) butter 40 g (1,5 oz) marzipan zest from 2 lemons dash of limoncello heat the oven to 180C (350F). grease and line two 30cm (7-8 inch) cake pans. whisk sugar and eggs for 10 minutes. fold in the flour. melt the butter and stir a little bit of batter into it. then return to bowl among marzipan and zest and fold. bake for 25 min. divide each layer into two and pour limoncello over each layer.
