FILM

More than a decade after loading my last roll of colour film, I bought a used Canon AE-1 Program SLR camera. As I really didn't know if the camera even worked, I was anxious to see the outcome of the the 36 exposures.

I shot these images on a Kodak Portra 400 film, on my recent trip to Northern California. One out-of-focus exposure and one double exposure was a much better hit rate than I had expected.

I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of hues the Portra 400 film produced under different lighting conditions. All images are unedited.
