Day to Night
We rarely get snow. But when we do it's always a delight, except when our feet get cold. Hiking this trail to a part of the local wilderness is a different task when the cold rushes in.
Discussing possible routes to reach our destination, as snow had blocked many passages. This was all part of the game that Mother Nature decided we should play
One section of the trail which is always a pleasure strolling through. From the snow covered floor to the moss covered trunks and all the creatures in between, this valley holds more beauty than much of the country.
As the days are short, nightfall comes quickly and so fire is our friend.

No campfire is complete without smores
Keeping camera gear safe is always one of my priorities, without these bags it would be near possible in the conditions I work in.
Fire at night is a campers delight.
Before the morning had arrived the long hike back was calling us. So our headlamps were lit an our boots were tied. Waiting for then next adventure.
