A Winter Wonderland in Lake Placid.
It's difficult to appreciate a snow day when you like in New York City. What starts as a beautiful downfall of white powder, quickly becomes a mess of grey slush and slippery ice. To make the most of last year's snowfall, we headed north to Lake Placid. We stayed in a picturesque home, built snowmen, hiked into the Narnia-esque wilderness, and danced across the frozen lake. On an overcast day, the snow fell off into the horizon, blanketing the whole landscape in white.
