Chocolate chip cookies
I like to play around with chocolate chip cookies! Every time when adding a new ingredient I wait what the result would be? It's like an interesting game. Today I've found a piece of very flavorous pumpkin in the fridge and thought "Hmm, Tania, what would I get if I add pumpkin into the cookies?". Meet absolutely chocolate pumpkin cookies!
What you must have:
(for 9-10 medium-sized cookies) 170 g flour 1/4 tsp baking soda 1501/4 tsp salt 90 g unsalted butter 150 g brown sugar 1 big egg 50 g dark chocolate (chopped) 2 tbsp cocoa powder 1/2 cup choco-chips 1/2 cup pumpkin (chopped into pieces)
What you should do:
Mix the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, cocoa powder) in the big bowl. Melt chocolate and butter using the water bath. Add sugar and whisk well. Add an egg while continuing to whisk. Add choco-chips and mix.
Cut the pumpkin into small pieces (5х5 mm) and add to the dough. Mix it a few time.
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. Cover the baking tray with paper sheet. Form a little balls from chocolate dough. Place them on the parchement, ligthly pressing to the baking tray with your hand, forming the cookies. Cookies will increase slightly during baking, so don't put them too close to each other! Bake for about 15 min. Set aside and cool.
If you want the cookies to be soft, I recommend to keep them in a sealed box. Otherwise, they will be soft inside with crispy crust. I choose the 2nd way!
