Buttermilk Pie

Buttermilk pie is incredible. It doesn't sound all that appetizing, but TRUST me...you'll love it. It's almost like creme brûlée! I made it for my in-laws at a family get-together, and then made six more over the few days we were there visiting. Yes, it's that good. It's also pretty simple...you just mix all your ingredients and pour it into a crust. The hardest part is waiting for it to cool off.

Let's talk about crust

Just for a second. I'm NOT a baker. @tifforelie gave me the link to an incredible crust recipe, and I thought, no problem. I've got this. You guys, I was sweating about halfway through thinking that I had actually made play-doh...that's how bad I am.

SOMEHOW...through some Christmas miracle, it turned out! I can't wait to get better at baking and try it again. I think even the next time will be much, much better.

Recipe is at the end...in case you want to skip ahead, but these pics by @jenniferlittle are pretty dang incredible.
