A Love Letter

Dear Banff,

I love you. I sat in the dark and watched the snow fall. I was eager for the sun to come up so I could get out in it and explore. Nothing quite transforms the mountains like a fresh snowfall.

Banff it is true that your beauty can not be denied. I have watched as people delight in seeing you for the first time.

You do winter well Banff.

I love watching how you constantly change with the way the light hits and the weather changes. You are always magical, ever changing and beautiful.

I love you Banff for all the times I see wildlife in my daily life. I don't take it for granted. I delight in every deer sighting.

I love Christmas days spent snow shoeing with my love where the loudest sound is our footsteps.

I love cozy nights spent in a rustic cabin sitting by the fireplace as we talk about our favourite memories.

That make you feel small .

I love the way you play hide & seek.

There is always something to look forward to. Spring brings new wildlife sightings that take your breath away.

I love living in a town where the fire chief rides a fire bike complete with fire extinguisher.

The fire hall invited us all over for pancakes and showed us their ladder.

Mother Nature makes stunning bridges out of boulders.

Banff no matter how many times I ride my bike across this bridge I always stop to take a photo.
