Madeleines are probably one of my favorite sweet treats. This little shell shaped French cake looks elegant, tastes subtly sweet and has a very modest size (which just means you can eat more).
what you need: ¼ cup (60g) butter 2 eggs 1/3 cup (60 g) sugar seeds of ½ vanilla pod ½ cup (60g) self-raising flour, sieved 3 tablespoons (20g) almond flour, sieved extra: madeleines baking pan, greased
A well-baked Madeleine is slightly crunchy on the outside and lovely soft and light inside.
