A week in
In August 2014, I, Florent, made a last minute decision to go and visit my cousin in Bali for a week. I didn't know what to expect as I had never been to Indonesia before. It turned out to be such an amazing trip and I was blown away by the beautiful landscapes and people.
I've rarely seen such beautiful waves. A paradise for surfers.
The Sacred Monkey Forest
Despite being cool looking and funny these little monkeys can be very cheeky and holding on to cameras and other belongings is advised !!
Jimbaran Fish Market
I am not a big fan of seafood but it is quite hard not to be tempted to try with all the smells combined with the atmosphere of the beautiful late afternoon light.
A place of beautiful colors and cultural importance.
Fresh coconut straight from the tree, thanks to this amazing old man !!
Arriving at the temple. It was carved in the wall nearly a 1000 years ago, simply stunning !!
The view of Mt Agung on our way to Lake Bratan early morning was breathtaking. What a great way to start the day !!
Jatiluwih Rice Terraces
Just before making our way to the rice terraces we stopped to have lunch in a very nice restaurant overlooking the rice fields. Bali has some extraordinary food !!
The fog and the dense forest surrounding the rice fields created misty landscapes where dinosaurs could easily blend in..
Thank you Bali for this amazing week, I'm sure that we will meet again !! More photos of this trip at instagram.com/oftwolands
