Canada's Lakes

British Columbia and Alberta

Lake O'Hara

is probably one of the least crowed lakes I've visited in Canada. Due to it's quota system reservations for the shuttle and campground are limited.

If you can't get a seat on the shuttle bus you also have the option to walk the 11km access road.

For $495 a night, you can sleep in one of these lodges

Moraine Lake

is so far my favorite lake in Canada and can be found in Banff National Park

Emerald Lake

can be found in Yoho Nationalpark. Along the lake several hikes give opportunities for breathtaking views

Km hike Yoho Pass

Along the way you get excellent views of the Emerald Lake

Lake Louise

Might be the most popular and the best visited lake within the Canadian Rockies

The Fairmont Chateau

The Fairmont Chateau has a delicious bakery for rewarding yourself after a long hike

Lake Louise promenade

Peyto Lake

Definitely worth a stop when driving along the Icefields Parkway

Glacier water is flowing into the lake
