My grandfather's recipe

There are many ways to prepare a "sangría", but for me, the best of all of them was my grandfather's recipe. His secret? Using the best wines and Champagne ;-)

Fruit in slices

Oranges, lemons, peaches, bananas...

Raw sugar

Red wine

The better the wine, the better the sangría

Cava

Catalan Champagne produced in the region of Penedes

Serve cold!

Let it rest for 2 hours at the fridge and serve with ice cubes!

Recipe:

1 bottle of red wine 2 peaches 2 oranges 1 lemon + juice of another lemon 1 apple 3 tablespoons brown raw sugar 1 cinnamon stick 1/2 or 1 bottle of cava (according to your taste) How to make sangria: We put the sugar in a jug, add the sliced lemon and the lemon juice + fruit and cinnamon stick. Add the red wine and leave in the fridge for about 2 hours until the wine is impregnated with the fruit. After two hours add the champagne and ice cubes. Stir well and serve cold with some ice cubes.
