JÖKULSARLON

I had a look at my watch, it said a couple of minutes past twelve. That's the charm about midnight sun, darkness never really settles

Jökulsarlon | A glacier lake south east of Vatnajökull. Where ice from the glacier float towards the ocean, leaving fascinated tourists alone at the shore. If you follow the ringroad, route 1, south from Rjvk you can easily do the drive in a day. But be prepared, it can easily turn into a 16h drive through an incredible change of scenery: Black ash beaches, lava, lupines, waterfalls and volcanos is just the beginning

Only disturbed by icebergs breaking into pieces. A somehow beautiful, yet sad moment to behold.
