A Travel Diary

Marfa, Texas, the small town 2 hours south of El Paso is an art fanatics paradise, best known by Donald Judd making his second home there in the 1970's. From this, the Chinati Foundation was created as a museum of permanent installations with works from his contemporaries and some students who participated in residencies there. This combined with the Judd Foundation (founded after his death in 1994 to preserve his way of life in the town) Marfa is truly an artistic landmark.
