My Attempt at @tifforelie's Lemon Almond Biscotti

What could be better than dipping a crisp biscotti into a hot cup of coffee? This is surely one of life's simple pleasures! When I saw @tifforelie's recipe, I had to give it a try. Here's how it went down.

Ingredients: 3 eggs 1/2 c. vegetable oil 1 c. granulated sugar 1/2 tsp. almond extract 1/2 tsp. lemon extract 3 1/4 c. Flour 1 tbsp. baking powder 1/2 c. raw chopped almonds

The recipe Is actually pretty simple. First I whisked the wet ingredients and the sugar.

Then the flour and baking powder got a quick sift.

Next I added the dry ingredients to the wet. So far so good!

The dough ends up pretty thick.

I smashed the dough into this shape with my bare hands. Who needs a rolling pin?

I bought whole almonds so I had to improvise a way to break them into pieces. (The plastic baggy is key here or nuts will go flying everywhere!)

After cutting the biscotti into pieces I returned the pan to the oven for some additional crisping.

So they look good, right? But how do they taste?

Thank you @tifforelie for the inspiration!
