A Summer Adventure Story told in 4 Elements: Earth Water Fire Air
We skipped the beach this year, in favor of more active outings. We hiked in Cold Spring & Warwick, NY and in Camden, Maine. We hung out in beautiful wineries, walked the Cliff Walk in Newport, RI, and explored an outdoor sculpture garden. Mostly we just took in some beautiful views and fresh air.

We boated, we kayaked, and sometimes we just walked by lakes, rivers and oceans. There was a wedding with an ocean view in Newport, a house rented on a lake in Maine, and many more opportunities to enjoy the element of water in its fullest form.

My 30th (fire-sign) birthday fell in July. A girl could not have been luckier to have, not one, not two, but several birthday celebrations with family and friends. I was feeling the love this summer.
New Paltz, NY
The main event was a day at Robibero Family Vineyards for wine-tasting, cheese-eating, and outdoor game-playing. It was the best day.
So many birthday cakes. My sister Kim baked this festive one. (She knows how much I love pinwheels!)
Got to spend some time with the fam.
We took a sort-of spontaneous flight to Chicago for a weekend. I had never been. What a beautiful city to visit during the summertime! Millenium Park, The Art Institute, all of the public art, the architecture, the river, the food..I loved it all.
