DIY Macro Lens

First step is to get your hands on a CHEAP camera. I bought this one at a thrift store for $1.99. A used disposable camera would probably work too.

After breaking open the camera I was able to remove this plastic lens and black ring.

Glue the plastic lens to the ring using super glue.

I had to figure out a way to get the lens to stick to my iPhone and still be easily removed. I came up with the idea of using a kneaded rubber eraser. I applied a small amount on the outer edge of the lens ring.

Attach on to your iPhone over the camera lens. Press evenly to make sure it adheres securely.

Start shooting your macro photos! Note: This was my standby macro lens until I was able to purchase an Olloclip. I recommend the Olloclip and the SquidCam Lens system for macro photography.
