almond torte with fresh berries {gluten free}

serves 8 - 10 recipe slightly adapted from yummy supper - 100 fresh, luscious and honest recipes from a {gluten-free} omnivore by erin scott

in a large bowl, mix together: 10 tbsp butter, browned 3 cups ground almonds 2/3 cup honey 2 egg yolks 1 tsp vanilla essence a pinch of salt

spoon the batter into a well-greased pan with a removable bottom and flatten to the edges with your fingers

scatter flaked almonds over the top of the torte and put it in the freezer for half an hour or so until firm

bake at 300F for 25 - 30 mins until golden brown. remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tin before transferring to a plate and topping with fresh berries to serve.
