Adding video can make your story more interesting and dynamic. Try these few simple tricks next time you hit record.

Hold steady! Not everyone carries an iPhone tripod in their back pocket, but there are other ways to capture a steady video. When recording, hold your phone with both hands and keep your elbows tucked to your side. Or try setting your phone on a solid surface like a table or the ground to stabilize your shot.

Try letting a moving object like a car, a kayak, or a kid enter and leave the frame. This can create a fun infinite loop of motion.

Experiment with bokeh. Bokeh is the blurred, out of focus area of your photo or video. To create bokeh, hold your phone close to a nearby object and then lock your focus on said object by tapping and holding the screen. Now, move your camera away and everything should be out of focus.
