Site of the Battle of Waterloo, where the resurgent Napoleon was defeated for the final time in 1815. Waterloo lies a short distance south of Brussels, Belgium. The battle was won by an alliance of Brittish, Dutch and German armies.
After the battle, a hill was made with on top, a lion, symbol of Flanders, facing France in a cruel way. Wellington Said that the hill spoil his battlefield. Therefore the brand new €50M museum is excavated underneath the fields, unvisible to see from above.
A bloke has been busy for 30 years to make tin soldiers and copy the battlefield. His dream was to have it exposed one day in a museum. It ended up underneath the battlefield itself., in th new museum.
