TWO WEEKS IN
MOROCCO
,
This past January, I was
lucky enough to explore
Morocco for two weeks.

It is a beautiful country, full
of history and friendly
people. Here’s a quick taste.
,
Riad Les Trois Palmiers El Bacha
After a looong travel day,
we arrived in Marrakech.
,
Marrakech is probably
the most photogenic
place I’ve been.
, , ,
You can wander the Médina
for days. And we did.
,
,
Toubkal
After a wonderful few days in
Marrakech, we climbed the
highest mountain in Morocco,
nearly 14,000 ft.
,
,
Aït Benhaddou
This is a popular stop on the way to the
Sahara — and where parts of Gladiator and
Game of Thrones were filmed.
,
Merzouga Desert
The Sahara. Truly like nothing else
I’ve ever experienced.
,
,
,
Fes
Our next stop was Fez. I think Fez was my
favorite city (but Marrakech wins for photos).
,
,
, ,
Conservation du site Archeologique de Volubilis
If you’re into history, these Roman
ruins were pretty cool, and so was
the nearby town of Moulay Idriss.
, ,
Gite Zitoun
We stayed in the tiny town of Karmet
Ben Salem with our host Nourredine. A
highlight of the trip for sure.
,
Noureddine doesn’t
speak English, and we
don’t speak French or
Arabic, but with a
combo of broken
Spanish and Google
Translate, we had a
wonderful time.
,
All in all, wonderful trip to a beautiful
country. Follow me on Instagram
