The James P. Kelleher Rose Garden is a
designated Boston landmark. It is like a
secret garden nestled in the midst of a
Boston neighborhood.
Designed by Arthur Shurcliff, a noted
Boston landscape architect, this English
style garden is part of Emerald Necklace,
a chain of parks in Boston and
Brookline, connected by parkways and
waterways.
It is small but delightful garden with a
variety of rose bushes most notably
Super Dorothy (cover photo) as it now
blooms profusely on the arched trellises
which appears to be the main attraction
of the garden.
I really enjoyed the quiet time taking
photos early last Sunday morning.
