The Best of 2020

I had pretty low expectations coming into this year but I couldn’t
foresee the the utter sh*t show this year would bring. 🙃

Thankfully, it wasn’t all bad. There were many magical moments
that wouldn’t have happened because of the pandemic. Today I
honour those moments and look forward to many more in the
upcoming year 🥰

Home in Papua
What a glorious way to start the year: in my home with misty
mountains and glorious sunshine. I hope to go back soon.
,
Jakarta
The city girl in me loved spending a few days here. On my own, I had
so much fun exploring the old and new sides of city.
,
Plus, it gave us this soooo 😂😂😂
,
Indonesia to the United States
I love long distance travel. It is so much fun for me so I definitely
took advantage of this trip. This was also the first trip I wore a mask
(and it wouldn’t be my last 😅)
,
I’m a night owl so coming back super jet lagged helped me
really appreciate early mornings more. I even started
working out early too. I hope I can keep this up next year
🥰
Early Mornings

Museum of Ice Cream
Firstly, I really miss you Camila! Secondly, we
should do something like this again when we
are both back in the city. 🥰
,
Nashville
Right before the restrictions came in, Maame Esi, Afua, Nana
Yaa, and I took a spur of the moment weekend trip to this city. I
honestly can’t thank them enough for whisking me away. ♥️
,
My Birthday!
Yep, I was one of the first people to have a quarantine birthday. It
wasn’t all that bad: I got a deserted Midtown, some wonderful family
who I haven’t seen in years (& was stuck in the country), and
desserts from one of my favourite places! All good! 😂
,
Working from home
I generally have enjoyed this, a lot! There are so many advantages to
doing this and it has allowed me to have other adventures I couldn’t
have had if I were commuting. Still, I do still miss seeing my ELC
buddies on everyday: Danika, Emma and Anna! 🤗
,
Plus, this was my crowning
achievement of 2020 tbh 😂
,

Black Lives Matter

What a moment to witness. I have a lot feelings that I cannot express
in words. But I hope this will serve as a reminder that Black lives
always and will continue to matter.

,
Glamping in the Catskills
I have a story for this that is still in my drafts (sorry 😅) but
this was literally the perfect weekend away from the city.
Jeremy and Julie, we should do this again in the winter
though
,
A Month in Washington
This was another great example of how strong my expat community is:
the Meikles offering me to stay with after years of my not seeing them.
This was such a breath of fresh air, thank you!
,
Accraaaaaaaa
Started the year in one home, it is only fitting I end the year in the
other one. I have to say I have had a LOT of in being back this
time around. 🎉
,
Sandbox
Expensive? Yes! Worth the memories with my forever Ashesi squad?
Definitely. 🥰
,
#PerfectMate Traditional Wedding
Trust Ama and Rashid to throw one huge party to kick off their
wedding festivities. It’s wild. I wonder how the white wedding will
be? 👀
,
What a year, what a ride.
Hoping and praying the next year will be just as exciting for
everyone (without the plenty turns on your mental health) 🤗♥️
