Saturday was one of those days that
reminds you what midwinter will feel
like. It rained, and it rained, and it
rained. It was barely daylight. So on
Sunday, after the rain had finally
stopped, we were just glad to get in the
car and head down the coast. We went to
John Muir, not really expecting
beautiful light, but this place has a
habit of surprising you. As soon as we
parked, we could hear the distant roar
of the waves across the marshland at
Belhaven beach. We headed on our
usual route through the woods towards
the bay as the skies shifted, sunshine
spilling through the clouds.
