St. Moritz, Switzerland
august 2019
,
Back to the mountains I
go!!! Immediately after I
flew back from Menorca, I
drove up to St. Moritz to
spend two weeks in the
Swiss mountain air. I was
so eager to get here all
summer- don’t get me
wrong, I love the sun and
the sea, but the heat was
getting to me. At this
point I was very much
looking forward to 75°
rather than 95°, and
that’s just what I got
here in Switzerland. Along
with sunny skies, luscious
green views, and the
freshest air in the world.
I cannot find the words to
describe such beauty, so
just click on through. :)

some of you may have seen my winter version of St.
Moritz and recognize this exact spot . . .
,
. . . just 8 months apart. Feeling grateful
to have now seen Switzerland in two
different seasons!

best snack along the
way- wild blueberries
that grow long the
paths. almost up to
par with wild Michigan
blueberries that I
grew up on. ;)

I’ve never felt so at home
somewhere that’s 5,000 miles away
from my actual home- it felt so
much like the U.P. of Michigan.
The weather and lakes and forests
and nature (minus the mountains).
It was just what I needed,
flicking away that  little twinge
of homesickness that seemed to
creep in once or twice throughout
the summer. After these two weeks
I left refreshed, renewed, and
ready for my next adventure.

In the winter St. Moritz was
beautiful, but the summer . . .
I’m not sure any other season
could beat it. I guess I’ll just
have to find out for myself! 😁
