Just as we were about to cross this bridge
they began to close it for boat traffic. So
we decided to watch this engineering
feat in action. So many boats here.

For €5 you can do the windmill tour. It was really
fascinating. The highlight was getting to walk on
the deck of the windmill and see how it operates.
And also take in the view of this stunning city.

Restaurant Zuidam sits canal side just
beneath the beautiful windmill. An icon
in Haarlem. We loved the staff, the view
the drinks and the food.

We love to just sit and watch the
people go by. This was the perfect
spot. The drinks were spot on.

I am in awe of the multi-generational usage
of bicycles, scooters and the like.
I wish the whole world could be like this
and less dependent on autos.
,
We love exploring all the cathedrals.
KATHEDRALE ST BAVO

Just off the Centrum Markt are amazing
tree lined alleys. Safe pedestrian only
zones with flowers galore. We could get
lost for hours roaming these nooks.
,
Now to buy a boat. Until next time!
