HIKING
ENCHANTMENTS
Part 1: Aasgard Pass
,
We started our hike to Colchuck
Lake at 5am. Hiking in the dark
is always interesting, Especially
if you’ve never hiked that
particular trail before
,
The first
part of
the trail
was a nice
easy
gradual
incline...
,
Sun began to peak
over the mountains
,
Colchuck finally appeared. It
was perfecly still and
perfectly beautiful.

the top

climb up

We did 12 weeks of training for
this hike. We did not get a
permit to camp. We trained to
hike straight through and one of
the most technical sections of
the hike was next. In about a
mile, a hiker gains 2300 feet up
Asgard Pass.
,
,
SOMETIMES YOU JUST
NEED TO BREATHE,
TRUST, LET GO, AND
SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
AND UP WE WENT.
,
Midway break to enjoy the views
And take a peak at how
far I’ve come.
,
,
We met
some
friends
along the
way
,
We are
almost
to the
top!
,
Overall it wasn’t as bad as I
thought it would be, but I’ve
never been so happy to be
done!
,
,
Stay tuned for part 2
As I take you through
the core of
